About the Show
Malachi O’Doherty is an Irish writer specialising in politics, religion and culture. He has published three books: The Trouble With Guns: Republican Strategy and the Provisional IRA (1998), I Was A Teenage Catholic (2003) and The Telling Year: Belfast 1972 (2007). His next book is an exploration of the rapid secularisation of Ireland and will be published in the Autumn (Fall) of 2008 by Gill and Macmillan, Dublin. Malachi is a regular contributer to several BBC programmes and records packaged reports for a religious affairs programme, Sunday Sequence on Radio Ulster.
